I was so frustrated yesterday working on trying to get that link working; that is why I hardly had time to blog. On the positive note, I slept six hours last night. That is exceptional for me. I really think I'm getting used to my new medication treatment. I'm on the new treatment because of the side effects I was having on my old medicines.

Here are some of the side effects I was having: weight gain (around 60 lbs), severe sedation, restless arms and legs, formication (the feeling of bugs crawling on your skin), problems related to elevated prolactin levels—including shrinking genitals (sorry to mention this, but it was causing me some concern) and possibly the growth of breast tissue (this one is hard to tell because of the weight gain).

There are probably more that I had been experiencing, but nothing comes to mind at the moment. Since I changed my medication, those side effects have gone away—all except the weight gain. On my new medication, I have had some insomnia and also tactile hallucinations (I thought this was the illness, but my psychiatrist thinks it is because my new med is a bit stimulating).
