Great Happenings!
Today has been an absolutely fabulous day! I'm talking really great. Here's why:
First, my sister had a baby. It is a baby boy (her second), and his name is Thatcher. I didn't get to see her immediate family though, for she lives out of state. Congratulations to them. I'm sure they are all very excited.
Second, I heard from a friend today. She sort of disappeared a couple of months ago, and I feared that she might have fallen on some seriously hard times. However, she is now doing well and is safe and sound in another area of the state. Before she was "dead" and now she is "alive." I was so happy to hear from her that it brought tears of joy to my eyes. I can't really tell you any more, since it would be an invasion of her privacy, but she is doing well and that is all that matters. She was dead and now she is alive, and I can only thank God that another prayer has been answered. And I hope that sometime soon she and I will be able to start on my next book.
Lastly, the woman who I wrote the poem for got back to me today. All evening yesterday, and again this morning, I was quite stressing out about this whole ordeal. But the woman told me she liked the poem, and so I'm taking that to mean that perhaps we'll spend time together again. That would be very sweet.
I might write more later, but at the moment I have to get going.
